Music at Hayes Barton

Music has been part of worship here since 1936. There's a place for you whether or not you read music.

Worship in action

Music on a Sunday morning

On any given Sunday you'll hear the Chancel Choir in the Sanctuary, the LightHouse Band in Holroyd Hall, handbells on festival days, and soloists and instrumentalists from our own community.

Some of our singers have been in the choir for decades. Others joined last season having never sung in a group before. If you want to serve through music, we'll help you find your place.

The organ

One of the Southeast's great organs

Our Sanctuary organ is Opus 39 by Buzard Pipe Organ Builders: three manuals and pedal, 43 stops and 52 ranks in two freestanding cases. It leads our traditional services every Sunday, from quiet preludes to festival hymns, and is a highlight of our concerts and special services.
